Dress Shopping Phobia

Truthfully one of my biggest fears is starting the search for the PERFECT wedding dress. I'm not getting married until NEXT September, and i've done some browsing on the web, but is this normal? I fell in love with a James Clifford dress from Bridalreflections.com (http://www.bridalreflections.com/newyorkcity/bridal.asp?dir=James_C...) # 5. I just want to lose weight before i even attempt trying something like this on. Any suggestions on how to get over this fear?

I am so afraid to dress shop, have people looking at me and picking at everything. One thing I'm learning is to just eat better, do workout and take someone with me that I know will be honest but in a nice way.
