too much money for small space or ugly place

What is the deal with some of these places around nashville. I mean truly, is there not a beautiful elegant place, that doesn't want to charge you thousands of dollars just for the use of the place. I"ve been married before, so im definitely not going to spend all my body parts just to have a fabulous day. I recently went and viewed a spot located in downtown nashville. its beautiful at night, it over looks the downtown city, however, because it wasnt' decorated, i just couldnt' see how a warehouse type place would be elegant for a wedding, reception maybe but wedding nope i dont' think so. so now i'm back to square 1 again. trying to find a venue for a wedding and reception together. Any ideas out there. i'm only going to spend a total of $6000 for everything. and i mean everything.. i'm planned totally, everythings in writing know where things are coming from, etc.. now i'm just missing the most important part, the wedding venue itself...ARE THERE ANY OTHER BRIDES OUT THERE WITH THIS CRAZY DILLEMA. I COULD TRULY USE SOME INSIGHT ON THIS.....glad i started early my wedding wont' be until august 2011. so its no better time than the present... Be Blessed each of you

Permalink Reply by Carla on February 20, 2010 at 10:07pm: I'm in Clarksville, so we are both TN and brides and yes having the same problem finding a venue and that is why we opted to do it in our back-yard. However, we have changed out theme and date so we can not have it outdoors but feel confident that the museum might have a space that's perfect for us. So you might want to try contacting museums in your area, the room we want will only cost $350 but there are 4 to choose from and they are all under $500.; ▶ Reply to This

We've tossed between having a destination wedding in bahamas or key west florida to having a wedding here in nashville. We've went and viewed some of the country clubs, and really liked them, so we've decided to just have wedding and reception at one of the country clubs. but now you've put another idea in my mind, i'm going to do a city search on museums here in nashville. thank you so much for your advice sorry for the late reply.
